Thousands of people have lost their homes when a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on 12 January 2010. Haitians ravaged by the earthquake that devastated their capital begged for food, water and medical assistance on Friday as the world raced to bring aid to survivors before their despair turned to anger.
